ABOUT PAM - Independence and Integrity
Pam was born and raised in Richmond, Massachusetts on the Malumphy Brothers Farm among a very large extended family which includes eight brothers and sisters. She attended Pittsfield public schools throughout her junior and high school years and graduated from Taconic High School. At age 17, she left for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she majored in early childhood education.

Following graduation, Pam moved to Boston where she worked for Boston University, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Isaacson-Miller Consultants.  In 1995, Pam completed graduate studies at Antioch University receiving her M.Ed. in organizational development.

Following the death of her father in 1998, Pam decided to move back to her family and the Berkshires in 1999.  Within a few years of that move, Pam began working for Boston Symphony Orchestra where she managed the Business Partners of Tanglewood for four years before becoming the Regional Director for the Massachusetts Office of Business Development.   After four years working with the Commonwealth, Pam returned to Boston Symphony Orchestra as Annual Fund Advisor as well as other consulting.

She is well-known in the community for her work on the 2004-2006 Pittsfield City Council as City Councilor at-Large.  She also served on the City’s Community Development Board and Board of Health.  She currently chairs the Berkshire County Commission on the Status of Women, is vice president of the Board for the Gladys Allen Brigham Center and Girls’ Inc., and for her many professional and community efforts was named the 2005-2006 Woman of Achievement by Berkshire Business and Professional Women.

If there is one thing that colleagues and friends of Pam will tell you in her professional or volunteer life, it's that she is honest, funny, and a great team member and team leader.

Pam shares her life with the man she calls 'her much better half', real estate business owner, Franz Forster, as well as the most incredible children in the world, 23-yr-old Alexander and 20-yr-old Isabella.

Please don't hesitate to call or email Malumphy for State Rep and support a campaign that will make a difference with independence and integrity.
